Hoi An is NOT easily accessible to the international tourist!  in fact it is easier & cheaper for someone in Hanoi to fly Bangkok, Thailand than it is to fly to Danang and then by taxi or bus to Hoi An!
Arrival by airplane

By air to Danang and then bus/ taxi to Hoi An.

Danang airport only has VERY LIMITED international flights – most travellers are forced to fly thru Hanoi or HCMC

From Da Nang you can travel by bus, private car or can take a taxi to Hoi An(similarly from Hoi An to Da Nang). A taxi from the airport to Hoi An costs you about $20US. If you take bus, you must get to the bus station (not in the airport) before going to Hoi An. It is recommended that you take a taxi from the airport to Hoi An.

By train to Danang and then bus/ taxi to Hoi An.

There is no railway station in Hoi An. Most guests going to Hoi An by train must stop at Da Nang or Tam ky Railway Station. Da Nang Railway Station is a big station with the system of modern facilities. Everyday there are many domestic trains from Ha noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Nha Trang etc.

From the trainstation you can take a taxi (20 USD), book pick-up from hotel (25-40 USD) or join the grey minibus from Mr Dung (5 USD/person / 0914 057 256 or 47 Ba Trieu Street, Hoi An)

Single share per person $2,990 AUD early bird (May 25) and $3,390 AUD full – very limited Twin shared per person $1,990 AUD early bird (May 25) and $2,390 AUD full 5% of the profit from this retreat will go to blue dragon, a children’s charity to help break the poverty cycle though education!
